Celebrating Community: Friends of Groton’s Trust Funds and the Joy of GrotonFest

The Friends of Groton’s Trust Funds are a true friend of the GrotonFest Family of Festivals. Year after year, their support helps shape the heart and soul of GrotonFest—ensuring that our festivals are filled with music, movement, laughter, and meaningful moments for all ages.

Their grants allow GrotonFest to bring top-class entertainment to the community, but what makes their involvement truly special goes far beyond the stage. The Friends of Groton’s Trust Funds are deeply invested in developing and celebrating local talent, giving performers from Groton and surrounding communities the opportunity to shine in front of friends, family, and neighbors.

Creating Space for Local Talent to Thrive

During the 2025 GrotonFest season, the Friends of Groton’s Trust Funds made it possible to feature an incredible lineup of performers—many of them local, emerging, or community-based artists who might not otherwise have access to a professional festival stage.

Musical acts supported through their grant included:

  • One Twenty Too

  • The Rusty Randoms

  • UU Ukes

  • Britt & Bria

  • Back to the Garden

  • Alec Sullivan

  • Emma Marino

In addition, their support allowed GrotonFest to provide a platform for local performance groups and organizations, including:

  • Groton Irish Dance

  • Groton Dunstable Chamber Choir

  • CenterStage Dance Academy

  • Pepperell Community Arts Choir

  • Nashoba Valley Dance Academy

  • Groton Wellness Shine Dance Fitness

  • Groton Dunstable Cheer

  • and many more

These performances brought families together, showcased the depth of talent within our region, and helped performers—young and old—experience the joy and confidence that comes from being seen and celebrated by their community.

Smiles, Laughter, and Festival Magic

If there is one thing the Friends of Groton’s Trust Funds are responsible for more than anything else at GrotonFest, it’s joy.

Their support also made room for moments of pure delight—like the appearance of festival mascots, who paraded through the grounds, met and greeted children, and filled little hearts with wonder. These seemingly small touches are often the moments children remember most, and they add a layer of magic that transforms GrotonFest into something truly special.

From music that gets people dancing, to performances that inspire, to laughter echoing through the festival grounds, the Friends of Groton’s Trust Funds help ensure that GrotonFest is not just an event—but an experience rooted in connection, creativity, and community pride.

A Lasting Impact on Groton

The Friends of Groton’s Trust Funds play a vital role in enriching life in Groton by supporting arts, culture, and community initiatives that bring people together. Their partnership with GrotonFest reflects a shared belief: that investing in local talent and joyful experiences strengthens the fabric of the town.

We are deeply grateful for their continued support and for the many smiles, songs, and shared moments they help bring to GrotonFest—season after season.
