Good Neighbors of Groton: Orange Blossom Dental
Creating healthy smiles. Building relationships. And finding plenty of reasons to make the community smile, too.
There is something special about a local business that doesn't simply open its doors in a community, but makes a conscious decision to become part of it.
For Orange Blossom Dental, that means caring for the smiles of local families—but it also means reading to children, collecting donations for neighbors in need, bringing people together over cars and coffee, supporting community organizations, and, of course, showing up for GrotonFest.
As we continue our Good Neighbors of Groton campaign, we're delighted to introduce another local business whose idea of community extends well beyond the work they do every day.
And in Orange Blossom Dental's case, there's a lot to smile about.
MORE THAN A DENTAL OFFICE
Located at 489 Main Street in Groton, Orange Blossom Dental is led by Dr. Genevieve Garris and Dr. Angela Thach. The practice emphasizes personalized, comfortable dental care and describes its office as a warm and welcoming environment.
But spend a little time learning about the practice, and you'll quickly discover that community is part of its identity, too.
Orange Blossom Dental puts it beautifully on its own website: their philosophy is that providing exceptional dental care and giving back to the community that supports them should go hand in hand.
We couldn't think of a better fit for our Good Neighbor campaign.
BRINGING STORIES—AND HEALTHY SMILES—INTO THE CLASSROOM
Every February, Dr. Garris trades the dental office for the classroom and visits local elementary school students to read with them.
Orange Blossom Dental's local reading program also provides an opportunity to engage children in fun, age-appropriate conversations about oral health, hygiene, and the habits that can help create healthy smiles for life.
It's a wonderful example of how professional knowledge can become a community resource.
For children, seeing a dentist outside the dental chair can also create an entirely different connection—one built around stories, conversation, learning, and fun.
And perhaps it makes that next trip to the dentist feel just a little more familiar too.
NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS
November brings another annual tradition to the Orange Blossom Dental office.
The team hosts a donation bin benefiting PACH Outreach, giving patients and community members an easy opportunity to contribute essential items to neighbors who need them.
PACH Outreach is a volunteer-led nonprofit providing food, essentials, and resources to people in the surrounding Pepperell and Dunstable communities, and Orange Blossom Dental proudly lists the organization among the community initiatives it supports.
It is a reminder that being part of a community also means looking beyond your own front door and recognizing when neighbors around you could use some support.
SOMETIMES COMMUNITY LOOKS LIKE CARS AND COFFEE
Of course, giving back doesn't always have to be formal.
Sometimes it's simply about creating a reason for people to get together.
Dr. Garris also enjoys hosting Cars and Coffee events in the plaza, bringing people together around beautiful cars, conversation, coffee, and a shared morning in the community.
We love this part of their story because strong communities aren't built only through programs and donations.
They're also built through connection.
They grow when people have opportunities to meet one another, talk, laugh, discover shared interests, and become a little more familiar with the people who live and work around them.
SHOWING UP FOR GROTON
Orange Blossom Dental's community involvement continues in many different directions.
Highlights include their involvement with the Prescott Center, where they support events, raffles, and activities; membership in the Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce; local educational outreach; and participation in GrotonFest.
And that participation means a great deal to us.
GrotonFest is at its best when the businesses and organizations that serve our community come out from behind their doors and spend the day with the community.
It's an opportunity to meet the people behind the business.
To reconnect with familiar faces.
To meet new neighbors.
And to remind ourselves that many of the businesses we pass every day are run by people who live, work, volunteer, raise families, and invest their time right here alongside us.
WHAT THEY LOVE ABOUT GROTON
When we asked the Orange Blossom Dental team about being part of our community, they shared something that captures the spirit behind this campaign beautifully:
“We feel so lucky to be part of the Groton community! We love the welcoming, supportive, and close-knit spirit that makes Groton such a special place.”
They went on to tell us how much they value being able to serve their neighbors, build meaningful relationships, and give back to the community they're part of.
And perhaps that's the heart of this Good Neighbor story.
Because a dentist's work is naturally built around relationships.
You see families grow. You watch children come back year after year. Patients become familiar faces. And over time, a business becomes something more than a place you visit for a service.
It becomes one of your neighbors.
SOMETHING TO SMILE ABOUT
Throughout our Good Neighbors of Groton campaign, we've discovered that there isn't just one way to be a good neighbor.
Sometimes it's sponsoring the festival. Sometimes it's filling a donation bin. Sometimes it's reading a story to a classroom of children. Sometimes it's supporting the organizations that keep a community connected. And sometimes it's putting on the coffee and inviting everyone over to admire some great cars.
What matters is the willingness to participate, connect, contribute, and care.
Orange Blossom Dental is doing all four.
We are grateful to have Orange Blossom Dental as part of GrotonFest Fall 2026 and even more grateful for the many ways Dr. Garris and her team continue to invest in the people and organizations around them.
